The Global Consortium for Study on Prevention, Control and Management of Major Infectious Diseases (GCSMID)
The Global Consortium for Study on Prevention, Control and Management of Major Infectious Diseases (GCSMID) is an international academic network established on April, 2023. The GCSMID consists of global young scholars, professionals, researchers, practitioners and students, who are interested in the study on prevention, control and management of major infectious diseases. The members of GCSMID are from interdisciplinary science, including epidemiology, biostatistics, global health, management, sociology, psychology, economics, health policy, clinical medicine, rehabilitation, general practice, nursing, data science, environmental science, implementation science, law, social media, etc.
The purpose of this network is to establish a platform to promote academic research and interdisciplinary collaboration in the field of prevention, control and management of major infectious diseases globally, provide scientific evidence on improvement of practice on prevention, control and management of major infectious diseases, promote the development of disciplines in this field, and support young scholars’ career development worldwide.
